New York, NY – Clinton’s Stent and the Truth About Heart Disease

    12

President Bill Clinton's heart fixNew York, NY – Celebrities and their maladies are a boon to public health. They put a well-known face to a medical condition and they give doctors (and medical reporters) an excuse to spotlight a disease and educate the public. Today, it’s Bill Clinton and his heart. Experts aren’t overly concerned about the former president’s condition. Stents—mesh scaffolds used to prop open clogged arteries—are used routinely in heart patients around the world and Clinton is likely to get back to his busy life very soon.

But heart disease, America’s No. 1 killer, is a big problem. It accounts for 26 percent of deaths every year in the U.S. and costs more than $300 billion in health care, medications and lost productivity. Prevention is key,” Dr. Clyde Yancy, president of the American Heart Association, said in a roundtable discussion with three other leading cardiologists. Yes, researchers are working hard to uncover new clues about the genes that play a role in heart disease, but the reality is that the lifestyle is what really matters now. “We know a lot more about the root causes of heart disease than we did 20 years ago,” said Dr. Paul Ridker, director of the Center for Cardiovascular Disease Prevention at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. “But it’s still about going to the gym, exercising regularly, throwing out the cigarettes, and changing lifestyle.”

Clinton is lucky. He had access to excellent care before and after his quadruple bypass in 2004. Too many other patients leave the hospital after a heart procedure, then run into a double whammy: they don’t pay adequate attention to their health and they don’t seek or get the follow-up care they need. “Whatever the issue is, the end result is that about 25 percent [of patients] are coming back to the hospital within 30 days,” Yancy said. “That’s way unacceptable.”

Statins, bypass surgery, and stents are all critical in the treatment of heart disease. But the best tool Americans can get their hands on right this minute is information. Read up on the warning signs at the American Heart Association and talk to your doctor about your family history and any symptoms you’ve noticed. “I’m a big believer that an educated patient is a good patient,” Ridker said.

Bypass surgery is noneffective LONG-TERM as evident by the Clinton case and a stent is also only a VERY temporary remedy.

If someone got a clogged artery the first time, there is reason for it and it is SURE to happen again and current medical treatment does not remove the cause only makes a “patch-job” to give the person a FEW more years.

The correct way to get to the root cause and remove the cause of the clogged artery is “Chelation Therapy” which is a very effective “roto-rooter” kind of method to clean the arteries in a very non-invasive (Pills or IV drip) way and is a million times cheaper and safer than the drastic surgery of “by-pass surgery” which is only a VERY TEMPORARY-fix anyway.

This is a alternative therapy which the Am. Heart Assoc. does not recommend. It may even be dangerous accordiing to the Mayo Clinic website. Carefully research anything you find mentioned on the internet. Much of the info is not accurate.

Not enough is being said about diet. Several doctors and books are out about eating a plant-based, whole foods diet. Look up Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn from the Cleveland Clinic who has actually worked with patients like Clinton to REVERSE their heart disease.
I couldn’t believe it when Clinton’s doctor pronounces him to be in “excellent health.” That is ridiculous. To make it sound like it is perfectly normal for a relatively young, active man to now be subjected to major medical interventions every few years shows what a mess our medical situation is in. Yes, we have the finest care in the world, but we need it, because we have some of the sickest people in the world. Other parts of the world where people do not eat animal products, dairy and refined, processed food do not have the chronic diseases we have, including heart disease, diabetes, cancers, etc.
I would like to know exactly what Clinton eats. Maybe he has cut back on McDonalds since he was president, but I would bet that his diet is far from adequate.

My Zeideh actually tried it and it did not do anything for him. Chelation is nonesense that was marketed by a Physician that got her degree from the Dominican Republic Medical School and didn’t want achrius for killing her patients. What worked at clearing his artery was cholesterol drugs and niacin pills. Those work to unclog arteries. Ask your cardiologist or internist. Be a smart patient. Stop eating derma and trim the fat off the meat in your cholent.
