Rosatom spokesman Sergei Novikov said Friday that uranium fuel shipped by Russia will be loaded into the Bushehr reactor in a ceremony on Aug. 21 marking the beginning of its physical start-up. Novikov said that from that moment the Bushehr plant will be officially considered a nuclear-energy facility.

Russian officials said that the latest U.N. sanctions against Iran wouldn’t affect the Bushehr project.

This IS a nuclear power plant. It does not have the capability (at the moment) for nuclear weapons. What it will probably do though, is speed up the process to reaching nuclear weapons.
Please remember, nuclear power is pretty safe, despite the general American sentiment towards it.
Since Iran can not be trusted to not develop weapons, it must be stopped not.
