Juneau, AK – Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin says a nuclear weapon in the hands of Iran could “lead to an Armageddon” and a world war that could “decimate so much of this planet.”

Palin made her comments to the conservative website Newsmax.com, which posted excerpts of its interview online Monday.
Palin said the U.S. should keep the military option on the table, along with sanctions and negotiations, in support of its allies, including Israel.
Regarding a potential 2012 presidential run, Palin said that would be a matter of whether the country is ready for someone who is “out of the box” or if it wants someone “a little bit more conventional, maybe more electable.”
She reiterated that her focus, for now, is on the midterm elections.
I can’t understand why the news media makes such a big deal about Sarah Palin; she is no intellectual. I’ve rarely heard her husband say two words, either. The father of her grandson is also a mental midget. Yet, the news media keeps rolling the drums anytime a member of the Palin family makes an appearance.
It doesn’t take any common sense to understand what Sarah said is true. We are dealing with a megalomaniac in Iran, whose only purpose in life is world domination, through the Middle east.
Do you want another Chamberlain like we have in Obama the incompetent bufoon? Or do you want to hear a trduth even though the world does not wish to recognize it?

She has the right ideals for a robust and strong America and far more vision and accomplishments than the current crew in charge.

How is Ms. Palin “a very bright, articulate and talented individual”. She doesn’t even use proper diction (i.e. “you bet’cha, and other words in which she leaves the “g” off at the end). If she runs on the Tea Party ticket in 2012, she may in fact take votes away from the Republicans, the same way that Ralph Nader took votes away from the Democrats in 2000. Regarding the interview with Katy Couric, in retrospect, I think that questions which were asked were fair and reasonable. If Ms. Palin did not adequately prepare for the interview, who fault was that?
Thank goodness we have Sarah Palin telling us that Iraq having nuclear weapons is bad. And that a nuclear war could destroy much of the planet. Without her wise words no one would ever know or even guess.
So Palin is no intellectual, huh? Was Harry Truman, a man ridiculed as “the habadasher from Missouri” when he was running, a great intellectual? Yet, he had the innate ability to be a great wartime and peacetime leader when the need arose and led the US at a critical time in its history. I think Palin has the same ability, straight talking and straight shooting. Sort of like BHO (not!).

It takes no great intellectual ability to conclude that Iran having nuclear weapons is bad. It takes no great courage to complain that it has not been possible to stop their nuclear weapons program (although the good guys do seem to be slowing it down, in part through electronic sabotage). But what actions would *she* take as President to address this problem? The Iraq and Afghanistan wars have left the US with no residual capability for a meaningful attack on Iran, and doing so would trap tens of thousands of US soldiers in Afghanistan with no easy way out. Iran has a huge military and to start a war there would certainly require reinistituing the military draft and enacting a large tax increase.

Those who like Palin, also are the ones who think Paladino is moishiach for New York state. How a great country like America allows such mediocrity to rise to the top of its political trash pile is breathtaking.
To #7 - There is absolutely no way to compare Sarah Palin, to one of our greatest Presidents, and indeed, one of our greatest friends, Harry S. Truman. Harry served as a Captain of an artillery unit, Battery D, in France in World War 1. Although over the age limit, and with poor eyesight, he volunteered for combat. He was also a County Judge, and a United States Senator for many years, before becoming Vice President. He was also a mentch, and within minutes after Israel declared itself a state, he granted recognition; he did that against the advice of the State Department. He detested the Arabists in the State Department. Also, in 1945, he ordered that hundreds of Jewish refugees from war torn Europe, who were housed at Ft. Oswego in upstate New York, be allowed to remain in the USA. The Oswego refugees became U.S. citizens, and several years ago, held a reunion. Last, Harry Truman saved the lives of hundreds of thousands of GI’s, including many Jewish GI’s, by decisively ending the War in the Pacific, against Japan. In Israel, there is a village named for Harry Truman, called K’far Truman.
