Bloomberg says such biometric identification cards would make it easier for employers to judge whether someone has legal permission to work in the U.S.

He says it would reduce the supply of work to illegal immigrants, leading fewer to enter the country.

Critics have said that such a system would raise cost and privacy concerns.

Bloomberg was one of several politicians who discussed immigration issues this week with President Barack Obama.

Bloomberg’s immigration reform group, the Partnership for a New American Economy, supports bringing more immigrant workers and entrepreneurs into the country.

The mayor, who’s also a billionaire businessman, spoke Friday on WOR radio.

Cost -the word is always used to engender fear. Why? Because no one wants to pay for security, health and well being, retirement, etc. Of course, no one wants to send any illegals back because they’re cost efficient when it comes to breaking one’s own back, cleaning, etc. If someone would do the cost-benefit analysis and demonstrate that this and other immigration reforms would be less expensive than doing nothing or following the liberal mantras, would the word cost still be fearful?

Everyone in the USA should be fingerprinted, without exception. In that way, thousands of wanted felons, bail jumpers, and other dangerous individuals could be identified, and apprehended.

He is another one of those political control freaks. The SS Card is not National ID. What’s next? A police state? So that Americans rise up like in Egypt? Fingerprints? Where does this all end??

So employers will have to become fingerprint readers, as well! Another unfunded mandate brought to you by your government.

    yes i agree with that
more so i believe that all card should have fingerprints,

such as a license credit card bank cards and wont need a password or code.

for example when you go to your ATM you wont need a 4 digit code but rather put your finger on the machine to identify you. same as credit cards.
I know my bf took my credit card (yes with my permission) and used it to buy groceries, he wasn’t asked for ID or anything. if your ATM card gets stolen, you wont have to worry because no one except you can use it. so to with identity theft , and so on and so forth.

its a great idea all around
