Washington – NY Turns Negative on Obama

Washington – President Obama might need to start taking a few more campaign trips to New York — and not just to raise cash.

A stunning new survey gives the president a negative approval rating in the Empire State for the first time, with just 45 percent approval and 49 percent disapproval among voters, according to the latest Quinnipiac University poll.

That’s a sharp turnaround from June, when Obama’s New York popularity was a healthy 57-38.

The bad New York polling news came as Obama jetted into town last night for his latest big-bucks fund-raiser — a party for 50 guests at the home of movie mogul Harvey Weinstein on Bank Street in the West Village.

“This is a pretty good-looking crowd,” Obama said.

Obama was also attended an intimate event for just 15 big-bucks contributors at the Ritz-Carlton.

Guests at both events paid $35,800 each, with proceeds going to Obama’s re-election campaign and the Democratic National Committee.

Second NY poll in a row, this after Siena showed the same thing.
    Hopefully, Obama is a one-termer.

NY should turn against Obama. However, what should he be replaced with? The Republican Party has not really put up anyone who is any better. Romney may or may not be better. He talks a good game, but his record is that of a genuine north-east liberal. Pawlenty seems like a good guy who believes in Buckley Conservatism and is definitely a Keynesian economics fan, but comes off as a wimp.

It is HIGH time that we stop looking to our existing corrupt politicians to lead. We need to find new blood. We need to find the most intellectually superior individuals our nation has to offer, regardless of what “indiscretions” or “imperfections” may be in their past.

Our problem today is that if a guy has ONE imperfection in his past, he is considered damaged goods and unelectable, regardless of whether or not he is the most qualified and most likely to succeed as our leader.

Today, the person who wins is the person most liked by the propagandist media. Why? Because most Americans are too dumb to learn anything for themselves. They want the “Cliff’s Notes” presented through the cable news filter based on who THEY like. What did that get us, Bush II & Obama. Boy… aren’t we lucky.

New Yorkers are slow, but eventually they get it.

PMO, You got it wrong again…NY HAS ALREADY TURNED AGAINST OBAMA! Not “they should” as you put it, it is a done deal! The vehicle that Obama was attempting to remove from the ditch has been rolled off a cliff and most of the American people feel as if they were aboard at the time. At this point in time, I envision Obama winning again in 2012 and I will vote for my 30 yr. old parrot. My wish for over the last year has been to see Allen West run, eventually, we WILL see his name in a presidential run, just not 2012.
