U.S. officials say Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton warned Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu (Da-vo-TOE’-lu) in New York to avoid actions that could further strain relations between the U.S. allies. The officials spoke about the private meeting on condition of anonymity.

The two diplomats met on the sidelines of the annual United Nations General Assembly meeting about Turkey’s threat to send its navy to escort future aid convoys to Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. Turkey is furious about a deadly Israeli commando raid last year on an aid ship from Turkey.

There was no, PLO, no Hamas, no territories, no missiles, no guns, no suicide bombers. the most you were concerned for, was a stone.

She was the first one to mention support for a two “state” solution.
