Palestinian Authority Leader Mahmoud Abbas is scheduled to address the United Nations General Assembly on September 23. Walsh has introduced H.Res. 394 to support Israel’s right to annex Judea and Samaria in the event that the Palestinian Authority continues to push for this vote at the United Nations. “Demanding statehood from the United Nations violates every agreement and peace treaty signed by the Palestinian Authority since the Oslo Accords. The Palestinians must return to the negotiating table and work together with Israel toward peace. Attempts like this to cut Israel out of the picture simply re-confirm the Palestinians’ commitment to annihilating Israel.”

“A U.N. recognized Palestinian state could put Israeli citizens under the control of a Palestinian government that has vowed to expel all Jews from its territory, including Jerusalem. Jerusalem and the neighboring territories of Judea and Samaria are the birthplaces of Judaism and Christianity, and Jews and Christians have the god-given right to live there.”

“I have introduced this resolution to warn the Palestinians of the consequences they face if they continue to demand statehood from the United Nations. If the Palestinians press forward with this effort, it will be viewed as a voluntary withdrawal from the Oslo Accords, and any land given to the Palestinians in that treaty, including Judea and Samaria, will be returned to Israel.”

which ever way this will end, israel will be in big trouble. should the bid go through, the palistinians will be encouraged as never before and view it as a reward for terror. if the bid fails, israel can prepare for a third intifada ch”v and further isolation from the rest of the world.

This type of hyperbole by U.S. politicians doesn’t really help nor does invocation of the divine rights of Jews and Christians to live in the West Bank without referring to the rights of muslims. Clearly, the PA is wrong by going to the UN but it would be better for these right wing evangelicals to avoid making this into another “crusader” moment.

Joe Walsh just won election this past fall by a mere 553 votes as a Republican challenger to a stunned Democratic incumbant. Nothing is coincidence.

Joe Walsh is a true man of the people, or Am Haaretz (pun intended) as we would say. He preaches morality, yet is 117,000 behind in his child support payments and was just rebuked by a judge for this last week. He loaned his campaign $35,000 yet claimed no money for his kids. Sounds like someone needs to distract some attention
