Midwood, NY – Cops are investigating three violent attacks, including the mugging of a prominent rabbi, sources said yesterday.

On Sunday, Mendel Bromberg, a rabbi and dean of the Beth Hatalmud Rabbinical College, was robbed of his wallet as he walked home from a wedding along Bay Parkway at around 10 p.m.
About a half-hour later, two youths attacked an Orthodox Jewish man on Avenue J near East Third Street as he sat in his car.
Two women were also harassed by an unknown man the following Monday evening.
These are terrible but I wouldn’t call them violent from reading the article.

The lower east streets near avenues I and J still have a sizeable population of Irish and Italians that didn’t sell over the years. These will not sell for any amount of money. The resentment that they feel about what happened to their old neighborhood is obvious. Many houses will blas music on shabbos just to disrupt their Jewish neighbors. These attacks could just be the next generation taking it a step further.

Also heard about an attack on the train yesterday by two secular jews against on orthodox. Anybody know anything about it?
