Washington – Newt Gingrich says Mitt Romney is the weakest GOP front-runner since 1920, but his sizeable campaign fund allows him to run well in races where his rivals don’t have the resources to campaign.

The former House speaker told “Fox News Sunday” that Romney’s money allows him to buy plenty of advertising time that puts him ahead of the pack at first, but his rivals catch up “pretty rapidly” as they campaign.
Gingrich says Romney isn’t stronger because the conservative Republican base doesn’t support him.
Gingrich has been campaigning hard in Alabama and Mississippi ahead of Tuesday’s primaries, where he’s hoping to add to the wins he’s had in South Carolina and the state he represented in Congress for 20 years, Georgia.
i think all of the primaries should be on the same day. I would have much rather voted for Bachman or Perry. I hope Gingrich is still running by the time the NY primary comes, as he is my favorite of the four left. I would vote for Ron Paul before Romney, but still of course will hold my nose and vote for Romney when/if he runs against Obama.
who cares what newt the looser says ??? he shiud drop out of the race asap he is hurting santurim and not letting him beat mitt…
Do not blame The candidate. BLAME YOUR PARTY.
What about Barry Goldwater? Romney may not inspire, but he certainly doesn’t offend.
i think ones crazier than the next.
Media decided that Romney does not inspire……..he’s polished, straight talker and has a very good speaking style witha good record as a manager. The only reason the party is not excited is because he is not conservative enough. Not because he’s flat and uninspiring.
Gingrich always makes his attacks personal. He is a mean spirited person whose talent is for creating fighting and discord. That is why his own party revolted against him and forced him to resign as House Speaker.
Wow, usually the racism on this site regarding Obama is more subtle. Why not say you think he is a terrible president without the racial innuendo. I personally think he is no worse than any of the alternatives if he could only do something about gas prices.
