Toulouse, France – Thousands of people gathered Friday, outside of the Government municipality in Toulouse, to render homage to the Jewish victims of the killer scooter Mohamed Merah.

Jews, Catholics, some Muslims, took part in the gathering to bring the call of the municipality around a banner “Living Together: Equality, plurality, dignity” . Also a text written in Arabic, Hebrew and Occitan.
The idea of the gathering was to express solidarity with the victims’ and to show that “Toulouse, is a century home, a century of generosity”, said the Socialist mayor Pierre Cohen .
The City Council also observed a minute’s silence in memory of the seven victims of the shootings in Toulouse and Montauban, and the flags of the town hall were lowered to half.

Such a great turn out to show unity and support, not just from Jewish community but all citizens of France! This shows that religions and ethnicities should not be used to separate us as people because we are all the same and need each-others respect, tolerance and care especially in times like this.
That’s right. not because we are really all the same, but rather because we are each unique in our own way. Respect is something we should have for those who are different then ourselves. Unlike the liberals who make as if we are all equally the same.
