    But officials say no injuries or property damage has been reported, though some minor travel delays were occurring.

    State Department of Environmental Protection officials say numerous firefighters are battling the blaze in Carlstadt, not far from MetLife Stadium and the Izod Center arena in nearby East Rutherford. They said about 30 acres was burning overall and that some structures were nearby, but no evacuations were expected.

    It’s not yet known what sparked the blaze, which is not considered suspicious.

    Several brush fires have broken out in New Jersey in recent days, mostly due to dry conditions and low humidity.

    Saw the fire today while driving on the I95 wow was that some fire! Thick black smoke, we were so close! Was a chol hamoed sight for the kids to see. The fire spread so fast over the the grass. Horrifying!

    We were able to see the smoke here in Brooklyn!! It was black as anything!!
