Rabbi Taub, a Holocaust survivor and a rebbe in the Chasidic Satmar movement, was 90.

The rabbi’s wife, Rebbetzin Rachel Taub, and son, Rabbi Shaye Taub, were in the car at the time of the accident, but neither was injured. (No charges have been filed yet against the other vehicle’s driver, but the case is being examined by the Baltimore City Police Department Accident Investigation Unit, according to police spokesman Officer Troy Harris.)

Hundreds of people from Baltimore and elsewhere attended Rabbi Taub’s funeral at Arugas HaBosem last Sunday, July 15. He was buried in Kiryat Joel, N.Y., next to the grave of the Satmar Rav, Rabbi Joel Teitelbaum.

Rabbi Taub’s nephew, Rabbi Aaron Tzvi Taub, was named Arugas HaBosem’s spiritual leader. Rabbi Shaye Taub was appointed the local Satmar movement’s new rebbe.

Among his congregants and others, Rabbi Amrom Taub was known for his love of peace and joy in serving God through acts of kindness and learning Torah read extended article. [jewishtimes]

I honestly mean no disrespect to Rav Taub or any of his mishpocha but what local “Satmar movement” is his son the Rebbe of?

There are maybe 10 shtreimel wearing Yidden in all of Baltimore. Half of those don’t even speak a word of yiddish.

Maybe the new Rebbe will be able to help chassidus flourish in Baltimore. Brocha Vehatzlocha to all those who spread Torah and the Torah of the Heilligge Baal Shem.

because thats what harebbe reb amram, ztzl wanted.
r’ heshy (the nephew) has lived in baltimore for almost 20 years. he is part of the kehilla. all of the rav’s sons are tzadikim and they were all given titles related to their fathers yechus (in the places where they live), but they did not make their life in baltimore. shaye moved back a couple of years ago, that’s why he also got part of the baltimore rabinate.
    there is no baltimore machloches.
so don’t go looking for one.
