The House Foreign Affairs Committee approved the non-binding resolution by voice vote.

This year marks the 40th anniversary of the massacre of athletes and coaches. Last month, the IOC rejected Israel’s request for a minute of silence at the start of this summer’s games in London, saying it had paid tribute to the victims before.

Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, chairwoman of the committee, said the IOC’s refusals were indefensible. The Florida Republicans said she recently wrote to IOC President Jacque Rogge urging him to reconsider.

Avery Brundage was a coward. He could not even bring himself to openly condemn the attack without raising the South Africa issue. This guy Rogge is also a coward for not having the guts to stand up to Islamic terrorists and do the right thing. Of course, why should we expect the Olympic Committee to do anything good now when they never did before this.

IOC are a bunch of Anti semites . I would be shocked if they agree to this. It might cause a sad cloud to hover above the farshtunkene games. We don’t want to ruin the fun now, do we?

So the IOC and Olympic games don’t have time to pay tribute to these kedoshim? They can’t be bothered for even a minute of silence in their busy schedules? What a message the nations are sending out!

So insensitive. You can’t give a moment of silence for athletes who were murdered at your own money making event? Sickening. I’m very proud of the fact that the American government is on the case, it reinforces my belief in the umas hachesed America. (doesn’t matter to me if the motive is politics and elections)

Come on. What do you expect from the Olympic Committee when a Jewish director/producer shamefully and very publicly betrays these fallen champions and heroes? With his lopsided, pro-Palestinian propaganda piece about the Munich massacre, Spielberg whitewashed the terrorists and murderers, demonstrating that he is nothing more than a coward and naïve dupe. Read Krauthammer’s review of the film for an excellent rebuttal to this sad distortion.
