Washington – President Barack Obama calls it “offensive” and “wrong” to claim his White House deliberately leaked classified information for political gain.

The president says his administration has “zero tolerance” for the leaking of sensitive information. He says he has sought investigations in the past and will continue to order them.
Lawmakers are investigating recent leaks of sensitive information about the covert drone and cyber wars against terrorism. Republican Sen. John McCain has accused the Obama White House of leaking the information to bolster the president’s standing on national security in an election year.
Lawmakers have raised alarms following media reports on White House policy on the highly classified targeting of al-Qaida militants by drones and raids and the deploying of a cyber weapon.
No denial, even from the CIC. That makes him look very bad (he meant wrong in the moral sense – it is wrong to accuse him – not wrong in the sense of inaccurate and untrue).
Anyway, Michael Vickers still has his job in the Administration (Undersecretary of Defense for Intelligence) even though he leaked the names of the Seal Team 6 members who took out Osama Bin Laden – classified information. Just for the fun of making a movie. So that “Zero Tolerance” has fine print – he means for leaks that make him look bad.
I’ll also note there was no promise of an investigation or firing those responsible.
Now, I don’t really think Obama was personally consulted about leaking this. It is about his leadership and where his people understand what not to do for political gain. And it is clear that his message is – anything goes.
Offensive yes BUT IT IS TRUE. Stand up and be a man and stop blaming everything on Bush; obama.
No Mr President, YOU are offensive. Go tell another prusta joke. You follow the lead of the last democrat president – classless!
It’s definitely Bush’s fault
What was most obnoxious was the way the President referred to it as “my White House.”
No, Mr. President. It may be your Administration, but it’s still the People’s house. The narcissism is incredible.
