Los Angeles, CA – Conservative talk show host Glenn Beck has signed a five-year, $100 million contract to continue his morning radio show with syndicator Premiere Networks Inc.

The details were confirmed Monday by a person with direct knowledge of the deal. The person was not authorized to speak publicly about the deal and requested anonymity.
The contract was earlier reported by The New York Times.
It marks a big pay bump for Beck. His last contract with the Clear Channel subsidiary was reportedly for $10 million a year in 2007.
The Glenn Beck Program is the nation’s third highest-rated radio show behind The Rush Limbaugh Show and The Sean Hannity Show.
Over the past five years, Beck’s audience has grown nearly 50 percent and his show is carried on more than 400 stations.

A lot of money for a guy whose show was cancelled by WOR in New York because of low ratings. I like Michael Savage. He’s the best.

Morton Downey Jr. made a name for himself by becoming the “anti liberal” on radio and TV. He was known for throwing red meat to his audience of animals. He would even bring Klan members on his show just to stir the pot.
His frequent substitute host (during his time off) was a young Rush Limbaugh, who was a top-40 DJ who admired Downey’s ability to reach an audience. While MOST talk radio programs were fighting for a small piece of America’s intellectual audience, Downey did the opposite. He went for America’s idiots. There was no fact checking, no journalistic integrity, or anything else needed… just a microphone. Limbaugh saw the genius in it and eventually became Downey’s successor.
Over time, it was clear that Limbaugh set boundaries for himself on how low he would go. Beck stepped up to fill that bottom space. ANYONE with a 3rd grade education and a computer can easily tons of evidence Beck is nothing but a liar and a fraud (see his ‘crying’ videos). But the dumb will flock to him like flies to manure because he validates their small-minded beliefs and ignores all facts that don’t support the “belief”.
He did the work & built an audience. Kudos.
Glenn Beck is my hero. I am sure that our messiah is sure to come because Glenn is right on the money. Can you believe we actually tolerated liberal presidents like John F Kennedy and FDR? I am not sure how Hashem can allow us to go on in this era, but one thing for sure, Glenn Beck brings us the raw hard truth and I almost want to be an evangelical except that I like my knishes.
