New York, NY – Former Mayor Ed Koch, Congressman Jerrold Nadler, Assemblyman Dov Hikind, Councilman David G. Greenfield, Assemblywoman Helene Weinstein, Councilman Michael Nelson, and other elected officials and community leaders held a press conference this morning at the Museum of Jewish Heritage in Manhattan to denounce hateful comments and actions made by City Councilman Charles Barron who is currently a Democratic candidate for Congress in the 8th district.

Specifically, Barron has referred to Israel as a “terrorist state” and has compared Israel to the Nazi regime.
Barron’s opponent Assemblyman Hakeem Jeffries has racked up a significant number of endorsements from a wide range of supporters in the Jewish community.
I guess, Charles Barron, you never thought you’d run for congress, so you let your loose tongue, lead the way. Well, it’s coming back to haunt you now, and rightfully so.
Good riddance!
Every registered Democrat in this district MUST vote for Hakeem Jeffries on June 26th.
Charles Baron is a raving lunatic. That statement about slapping a white person shows he’s simply a crazy racist. It’s possible to be anti Israel in a responsible intellegent way, but Baron seems to hate everyone equally. He had great respoect for the late Kadaffy.
Heard the interview on the Zev Brenner show Sunday morning. The guy is a real crack pot. Vote for Jeffries, he sounds like a rational, reasonable person, unlike Baron who is nuts.
Keep in mind that Baron is one of the few surviving Black Panthers from the 1960’s who isn’t either dead, in jail or accepted the realities of the 21st century.
Wish Jewish leaders were as vehement against Obama as they are against Barron. Obama’s speech in Cairo in 2009 was just as ugly, though it was cloaked in diplomatic rhetoric.
Koch has flip-floped so many times on this issue. Wake up, yidden!!!
