Congratulations!!! I would like to thank both factions for keeping our streets quite and peaceful, unlike the elections last year when trucks with loud speakers were roaming the streets from dawn to dusk (It still makes me cringe, when thinking about it..) So I really didn’t mind the phone calls every half hour.

    C/p from Gestetner Updates:

It’s not Obama. It’s not Dilan. It’s not Brooklyn Dem Boss Vito Lopez. It’s the Aroynem sect in Satmar; the one HQ’ed in Orange County New York. They flexed their muscles in this election like never before.

In the recent past, the Zaloynim (Williamsburg) wing of Satmar outnumbered the Aroynem by a margin of 2-1. 66% to 33%! In this election however the Aroynem, who were on Velazquez’s side, closed the margin to what appears now 46 for them vs. 54 for the Dilan-Lopez side. In one voting location of younger Hasidic voters, the split is 49-51. Considering that turnout overall in this district was very low, the Hasidic Voters are quite a large percent of the final number. They are presenting such a large percent of the overall vote because the Aroynem wing increased their game by huge margins.

Going forward, candidates of all levels in government will pay their respects to the Aroynem wing of Satmar in Brooklyn because A) they finally have the numbers, and B) their ground game today was orchestrated with real professionalism, and candidates will want to use it for future elections.

Make no Mistake. The Zaloynim still have votes. They are still a power to be reckoned with in Brooklyn. But the days of giving only lip service and half backed attention to the Aroynem is over.

I live in Wmsb and I am literally appalled by the behavior displayed by the groups backing Velasquez:
1)A Yingerman was handing out flyers to spanish pple in the neighborhood (also sent around on twitter), saying “Mr. Dilan promised that if elected he will work to provide affordable housing ONLY for Jews, lets fight for our rights and vote for Velasquez. Jews are not the only ones in the neighborhood.
2)All Wmbg residents received a letter in the mail supposedly from the Org. bchartu bchaim saying that its assur to vote for Dilan since he is in support of the new laws about gay marriage when in fact Ms. Velasquez has voted in the past and is a sponsor of many laws currently in congress, in support of gay marriage & Mr. Dilan promised not to be in support of these laws, if elected. This org. later sent a msg that the letter was fraud on their letterhead.
These pple did not win. They were just backing the winning side. But nothing stopped them from promoting anti-semitism, chilul hashem & outright lies. We have enough enemies.. no need to look for more hate from our spanish and other neighbors.. these incidents speak for itself.

Mr. Gestetner, I know you’re being paid by the aroinis to do P.R. for them, but your numbers are screwed up, in the Williamsburg district where yidden voted, the margin was an average of 35% for the aroinis to 65% for the zalies, about 2 zalies for each aroini.
And this is after all dirty tactics, false representation, standing in all voting place giving wrong information for zali voters of how to fill out the ball, plus some nice fraud that i don’t want to go into, so bottom line it’s probably about 25% to 75% in fact.
Last and not the least, the zaloinies take losses veri passively, while the aroinis don’t. Especially here where they knew forehand that the incumbent Valesquez is much stronger at the hispanic voters.

Take in mind, any and every elected official takes in account the numbers of voters, the side which voted for Dilan has a big block vote, they had over 6,000 votes in the heimish voting places plus about 1,000 affidavits which makes it about 7,000, this is called a bloc vote, and they have to accomodate the big faction for their future, as the past has shown.. So the big bloc voters are always winners regardless of the outcome.

Yes, Zalis trying now all kinds of spins, they were not ready for such flops at all, in fact the aronis block vote doubled then the last elections, Vito Lopez got something he never ever got something he never got, lets see what their strategies will be now

I’m glad to see people happy to be represented in congress by one of the biggest anti-semites (who together with marty needleman’s and co. has been working against the heimisha yidden of williamsburg for years). It doesn’t take much to read the history of these pple…

Velasquez has never lifted a finger for us yidden and she doesn’t plan to do so in the future..
