Rabbi Price, a talmid of Rav Hutner and Yeshivas Rabbeinu Chaim Berlin, was known to be a tremendous baal chesed and one of the founders and coordinators of Flatbush Hatzalah, as well as an active member (F23) for many years. A principal at Bnos Leah Prospect Park for over twenty five years, Rabbi Price was also the founder of the Brachos Bee.

Rabbi Price is survived by his wife Leah, three daughters and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. One son in law recalled how when the Prices moved from Brownsville to Flatbush, they figured they would have a respite from the busy lives they led in their former community.

“It didn’t even last one Shabbos,” Avigdor Feintuch told VIN News. “He was rosho v’rubo chesed and the first one to volunteer for anything.”

Despite the fact that he had been in poor health for the last several years, Rabbi Price fought back valiantly from a stroke that he suffered last winter. The Prices spent time the last several winters in Florida and one West Palm Beach resident who would take Rabbi Price to shul in his wheelchair remembered him as “a fine, shayne Yid who was respected by all.”

The levaya will take place this afternoon at Shomrei Hadas at 3 PM. The niftar will be transported to Eretz Yisroel on El Al Flight 2, with kevura to take place on Har Hamenuchos.

He was my chumash Rebbi at Prospect Park, in 6th grade, over40 years ago. I will never forget his kindness, his erudation, and his “outreach”. He was a true Ba’al Chesed.

BD”E He was one of the finest individuals I had the privilege to know. We will miss him and his sage advice. Principals like him are RARE!! A true Ba’al Chesed who understood ever one of his students. They came to him with any type of problem and he gave them advice which they used and it helped every one of them! He will be missed.
