White House spokesman Jay Carney offered some of the first specifics on how Obama intends to make good on his promise to address gun violence in the aftermath of a shooting rampage at a Connecticut elementary school that killed 26 people, including 20 children.

“It’s clear that as a nation we haven’t done enough to address the scourge of gun violence,” Carney told reporters. He reiterated that Obama “wants to move in the coming weeks.”

Nazi Germany also banned guns. It was one of their most important pieces to keep the population at bay when they did what they did.
Before you get crazy and say Obama is nothing like Hitler, you are RIGHT! But I would offer that if you look at his actions and speeches, he acting awfully similar. Let history judge if you are to weak to stand up before its too late.

And what about handgun crime, which is most murders? Does he support measures to get rid of illegal handguns? What about stop and frisk? Gd forbid, no Black would support that. Tougher penalties? Of course not, we don’t punish people for committing crimes.

I guess it’s the time to buy a gun before they ban it

Would someone enlighten me, why would a ban on assault weapon
help? Why isn’t there a ban on weapons periods? All that’s going to happen is killers are going to use different weapons.

If this would have been done 2 years ago, a lot less people would have been dead now.

    It will never pass.
If I believed for one second that these laws would prevent crime, I would be 100 percent behind these laws. There will always be guns on the streets. Just like there is drugs on every corner in America, there will always be guns throughout America and the world. When Prohibition was in effect, there was plenty of alcohol to get in the black market. Norway has tough gun laws and still a nut got loose with a gun killed loads of people. New York City has tough gun laws and there are still plenty of illegal guns on the streets. I think Hollywood deserves more blame then the guns. They create the atmosphere for the crimes.

Private ownership of firearms is virtually unheard of in Western Europe. The murder rate there is less than a fifth of ours in the States.

    Purely coincidental, I’m sure.

If this insanity passes, you can kiss free America goodbye. The right to keep and bear arms is the one liberty that ensures that the people of this country are free.
