Arriving seemingly unannounced, this rare appearance of the legendary vessel set off waves of speculation as to the reasons for its New York City visit.
Eclipse, currently the world’s largest privately owned yacht, belongs to Roman Abramovich, the billionaire Russian business mogul who is renown for his steadfast commitment to privacy—a commitment that no doubt fueled speculation.
According to CNBC (http://bit.ly/VYPfK2), a spokesperson for Mr. Abramovich declined to comment on the boat or its owner’s reasons for being in Manhattan.
Eclipse boasts a crew of over 60, replete with a large security force. It also features two helicopter pads, two swimming pools and a submarine.
Must be nice.
wow, who needs a cruise ?,this is much better
Are there any appointments available to see Mr Abramovich for a donations?
Making the world a better place or just sketching away his fortune on the blind ambition of a childhood party of real life drama. I am not a big ship guy but I guess if you really want to get the best out of life, go out to sea huh? Fun fun fun.
Two swimming pools, for tznius?
too nauseating for me
Al Waleed the arab Billionaire is the one building a bigger one. If you read up about these guys, you’ll find out that they’re involved in a pathetic competition to out-yacht each other. They’re miserable because they don’t have the BIGGEST yacht. The mishna’s montra “yesh lo muneh, rotzeh mosayim” is accurate to the tee!
