Boehner emerged from a White House meeting with President Barack Obama and said there was nothing new to report on staving off $85 billion in spending cuts that are set to start kicking in Friday.

Boehner says the House will move ahead next week with legislation to keep the government running beyond March, and he hopes the country won’t have to deal with the threat of a government shutdown.

Of course no closing of tax loop holes or taxing hedge fond managers as reasonably as workers on the assembly line of GM, Ford and
Chrysler. Must protect the donors of the next election and the country can go to h’ll or the invisible stealing hand will adjust the market and deficits don’t matter former Republican mantra

Same old, same old. How does this guy not get tired of saying the same thing over and over again, instead of looking for a way forward?

He may as well go home and leave an iPod playing in DC with the same sound bites we’ve been hearing for decades.
