Prosecutors say 63-year-old Aaron Muschel of Brooklyn, N.Y., and 47-year-old Alex Schleider and 37-year-old Eliyahu Weinstein, both of Lakewood, N.J., are charged with stealing approximately $6.7 million from the investor.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office for New Jersey says Weinstein pleaded guilty in January to money laundering and wire fraud conspiracy charges after admitting his role in what authorities say was a $200 million real estate fraud scheme. He faces up to 25 years in prison on those charges.

The three are due in federal court in Newark Tuesday afternoon.

I’m getting used to reading this. How sad…

One would think that if he scammed before and got caught, our people would not invest with him again! Guess that’s not the case.

Did i read this right? weinstein continued ripping people off even while awaiting trial on his previous charges?! and what kind of person would invest money when he knew weinstein was involved? unless weinstein was in the backround

There seems to be no end to the chillul Hashem news stories.
Hope that they finish their Newark court appearances today in time to get home for Yom Tov to celebrate Matan Torah.

Don’t these people realize that besides the judges they have to face in this world, there’s another Judge who will certainly hold them accountable for the Chillul Hashem in addition to their other offenses?

Hopefully, he will be sent away for quite a while since he doesn’t learn from his previous arrests. He is a financial danger to society, yet he still drives his expensive cars and lives in a gorgeous home with lots of household help. We taxpayers are paying for his current lavish lifestyle.

I’m glad to see that no one has put up a “Reboinoi Shel Oilam, the anti-Semites are attacking us, there is no evidence against these precious baalei batim, please send Moshiach now!” garbage post – yet.

    Analysis of the news:
There are two logical things going on.

    1) weinstein has turned gov’t witness, and is participating in having people arrested for their crimes. His own arrest is just so he can save face while the Feds go after more people. If this is the case, prepare to hear more arrests in the coming days for a variety of crimes, with weinstein either being or not being arrested along with many others.

    2) weinstein happened to be caught with a separate fraud while he was out on bail. If this is true, it would mean a big problem for weinstein.

Due to the fact that weinstein was originally scheduled to be sentenced April 2, and the sentence was pushed off, option 1 seems
