YNET news.com (http://bit.ly/12gSJew) is reporting that the event is the brainchild of the haredi advertising agency, Meimad, and the Coca-Cola company based in Israel.
An advertising spokesman, Menucha Stern, said the event was conceived as an alternative to traditional advertising messages, like sports, and beaches and secular music, which don’t identify with haredi values, and that the Guinness Book attempt is a conscious effort to offer a “spiritual-related” event.
According to YNETNews, the guest list for the event includes prominent public figures, journalists, and other noted members from Israel’s ultra-Orthodox community.
Maybe we should protest this? Guiness sounds like Goyish and that is the Israeli Gov’t in disguise….
Can’t understand how they will all squeeze in there…
I hope nobody has to go to the bathroom in middle.
Reminds me of Rabbi Balkany’s Shabbos tish in Boro Park. Probably holds as many people!
Der Rebbe’s Tish is longer than 200 feet. He doesn’t want pictures by his Shabbos Tish. Es past nisht Coke by the Tish. Maybe a fine beer or a bessere mashkeh.
Git Shabbos
Is one guy going to make kiddush for ALL of them?
Brilliant and fresh marketing approach!
By the time the sherayim gets to the end, it will have every chasidishe gene in existence
Great way to trivialize Shabbos. What a laughingstock we have become.
Looks like a fire hazard to me. Hope all goes well.
Hold the apple sauce.
