Jerusalem – Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu met with Shas leader Arye Deri at the Prime Minister’s Residence on Friday afternoon, after years of disconnect between the two, Israel Radio reported.

Deri asked for the meeting to discuss Finance Minister Yair Lapid’s intention to cut the budget of haredi schools that don’t teach the core curriculum subjects.

Lapid you have just met your match, Deri is a force to be reckoned with, a political genious.
Deri is a revisionist. I would not expect his policy to improve the true state of affairs for the Jewish people. He will not be ready to exceed the demand of tomorrows trust and I think he is only interested in a smaller future with only a fortune for the small groups of Jews who understand only dogmatic revision and an excuse for poverty in light of a growing and exceeding solemnity of jewish souls in a diaspora as well as a new found world of Jewish Life in Israel.
