The Detroit Free Press (http://on.freep.com/195ympR ) says Farrakhan denounced “Satanic Jews” and the “synagogue of Satan” controlling major U.S. institutions. Farrakhan also said President Barack Obama has “surrounded himself with Satan … members of the Jewish community.”

U.S. Rep. John Conyers and Detroit City Councilwoman JoAnn Watson attended Friday night’s address at Fellowship Chapel.

Anti-Defamation League regional director Heidi Budaj says it’s “deeply disappointing … many Detroit leaders are apparently so willing to turn a blind eye to Farrakhan’s anti-Semitism.”

The newspaper says Conyers and Watson didn’t respond to requests for comment.

There appears to be a double standard as far as the news media goes. If a skinhead makes anti-Black statements, he is immediately denounced as a “white supremacist”. However, when someone of Farrakhan’s stature makes anti-semitic and anti-white annoucements, the media tolerates it, and rarely, if ever, denounces it. Incidentally, the so-called “Reverend” Al Sharpton, who instigated and led some of the demonstrations at the 1991 pogrom in Crown Heights, has been invited to the White House, more than once. Also, he had a seat at the Capitol, when Obama was inaugurated a second time.

Why is this man still relevant?

What a disgrace that our democratic leaders did not walk out in protest.

You expected anything different? You expected these politicians to have honor and integrity and walk out? How naive are you people?

Sadly it’s the same old story again and again; this is the exact same thing as the comments made in the UN against Israel or Jews with barely any protest, it’s same as in all Jewish communities around the world where anti-Semitic concepts and comments are tolerated no problem, but anti gay or black sentiments are extremely sensitive , remember , none of them like us, some are just willing to tolerate us

Do you know that Al Sharpton might actually be a man of some sort of repentance. I read that this poor guy only regularly has a breakfast of 2 pieces of toast and tea. I am not sure about you, but that is a light meal for me. I respect his dignity a little bit but I do not like him as a productive citizen in any way. But lets be human beings here (to comment 1 above) and respect that mankind has a right to repent and perhaps Mr. Sharpton is in fact in that mode for his remaining years. Just a thought.

Unfortunately America will exile its Jews just like other countries throughout history.
Let’s pray it’s just exile and not a full on holocaust this time.

Louis Farrakhan is jealous of us.
He makes immature and stupid comments.

I didnt mean to post with my name as “American Exile”, I misread the box as a title for the post.

My point was that at some point the comfortable American Dream, which has assimilated more Jews than ever, will crash and fall to it’s knees. This will cause an uproar of AntiJew propaganda like this evil man, and we will be forced out of America. No one ch”v wishes bad upon klal Yisrael however our actions for the past 70 years have carved the road to this fate.
