Los Angeles, CA – On the heels of the well-publicized scandal surrounding Doheny Glatt Kosher Meat’s use of unsupervised animal products, the President of the Rabbinical Council of California, Rabbi Meyer May, confirmed in a May 20th interview that two restaurants have already left the RCC, and now carry the seal of Kehilla Kosher, another prominent Orthodox kosher certifier in Los Angeles.

The JEWISHJOURNAL.com (http://bit.ly/1226qTG) reports that Rabbi May also conceded that more restaurants may follow.
May also said that the RCC is currently in “talks” Kehilla Kosher in “hopes” of developing a “common” set of standards citywide.
A transfer of ownership of Doheny took place almost immediately after the scandal broke, but Doheny remains closed due to confusion over which certifier will handle its certification.
Something is not kosher there.
