According to CBS2 News (http://cbsloc.al/12erEXC), Ramapo Police Chief Brad Weidel said the white, corporate-looking jet seemed to be about 200 to 500 feet off the ground throughout its flight and had its landing gear down. Officers said the jet looked like it would either crash or try an emergency landing on the thruway.

“When I observed it I did not see any smoke coming out of it, it was extremely low,” Weidel said. “A logical conclusion was maybe that it was going to try to land on the thruway.”

In addition to the FAA, Weidel has notified Homeland Security about the jet. Ramapo Police are asking anyone with photo or video footage of the jet to please contact them.
