    Ukraine- A Kiev weekly magazine cited two prominent Ukrainian rabbis among the most “powerful foreigners” in the country.

    Rabbi Yaakov Dov Bleich, one of the chief rabbis of Kiev and Ukraine, and Rabbi Shmuel Kaminetzky, the chief rabbi of the Dnepropetrovsk Jewish community and region, made the Russian-language weekly magazine Focus list of 15 “powerful foreigners.”

    The rabbis, who were named along with the U.S. and Russian ambassadors, were said to seriously influence developments in Ukraine. [jta}

    This seems like mixed news. Good to see Ukrainian Jews doing well, but why are they called foreigners? Seems like anti-semitism at work…
