In a statement, after leaflets calling for the murder of Jews were distributed around the city of Odessa, as was reported here on Vin News, Rabbi Wolf wrote that:
"The antisemitic rhetoric of several Ukrainian politicians and programs shown on Odessa television stations have so far not met with a proper response from the three branches of the Ukrainian government."

He added that police often treat vandalism of Jewish property in the city as "mere hooliganism" instead of investigating it seriously. The leaflets were signed by a group calling itself the Russian Orthodox Public of Odessa. [fsumonitor]
