Borough Park, Brooklyn, NY – Community Service Alert:
The Borough Park Shomrim has asked us for help in locating a woman, missing since Monday evening. Mrs. Chaviva Gershbein, 38, was last seen driving a silver Hyundai Elantra on Kings Highway. She was wearing a black cableknit sweater and a black skirt.
If anyone has any information, please contact the Shomrim immediately on their hotline at 718-871-6666.

Subject is alive and well in the confiens of the NYPD in the 66th Pct after being tracked down at East 21st Street and Avenue “J” by Boro Park Shomrim Patrol through her cell phone.
I am glad to see that she was found alive and well. Its also good that she has been “confined” by the police at the 66th precinct. This was no conduct for a frum woman to go around and not tell anyone where she is.

The car was a Hyundai Elantra not a Honda Civic. She was located this morning driving erratically E31/Ave J. She claims she was driving, and did not eat or sleep for two days.
To the poster commenting about “it seems to be kept very quiet, which is odd”, what exactly was quiet, and what was odd about it?
She was missing, and the public was asked to keep their eyes open for her. As much information as was needed for the public to assist was released. More than that, she is entitled to her privacy.

This is not an abduction she was last seen with her mother and then she left her mother and left with her car and did not come back. We hope and pray we can find her. By the way, I believe her car is a silver HONDA CIVIC not a Hyundai Elantra. It’s a mistake in the posting.

Was this an abduction? Has anyone any clue what was going on when she disappeared? There’s no real news out there about her, it seems to be kept very quiet, which is odd.

Obviously they don’t know if it was an abduction or not. That is why this is a missing persons case, not a criminal investigation.

Someone is missing, there llife is possibly in danger, and all you can think of is who is she related to??
