Highland Mills, NY – Local Towns’ Petition To Halt KJ Pipeline Denied By Court

FILEHighland Mills, NY – A petition for an injunction put forth by the town and village of Woodbury and the village of Harriman to temporarily halt plans by the village of Kiryas Joel to connect with the New York City Catskill Aqueduct until a decision is made on their Article 78 petition has been denied by State Supreme Court justice.

MIDHUDSONNEWS.com (http://bit.ly/162E3n6) reports that the decision marks the second time the three communities have failed to stop Kiryas Joel’s pipeline construction.

According to their pending Article 78 petition, the three communities challenge Kiryas Joel’s negative declaration as well as its compliance with the state’s environmental quality review act in relation to the Mountainville Well project, which includes in its plans the construction of a new back-up water supply for Kiryas Joel.

The petition charged that by issuing a negative declaration for the Mountainville Well in the nearby town of Cornwall, Kiryas Joel skirted state laws requiring them to study what, if any, environmental impact the Mountainville Well would have on the Woodbury Village Trout Brook Wellfield, which draws from the same water supply.

Judge Francis Nicolai disagreed, ruling that “the original petition did not seek any relief in connection with the construction of the water supply pipeline, and this court adheres to its initial determination denying a preliminary injunction to halt construction of the pipeline.”

Those Anti Semites are NOT even ashamed of trying to block KJ from getting their water supply….
My question to Woodbury is….How in the world did you allow Woodbury commons to be built in the Town of Woodbury.? Woobury common is the largest retail complex in Orange County which causes traffic jams as 5 miles into the NYS Thruway every weekend…Ask any neighbor from Woodbury,Harriman,Highland Mills, Monroe if they wanted this complex in their backyard.? The answer is NO….
But this Woodbury Commons brings them Millions of dollars in tax revenue thats why it passed and they are now making it even bigger ….
KJ is in desperate need of WATER for their future growth and NO one will be able to STOP them from finishing this pipeline…..

The blatant anti-semitism in this town is unbelievable. They won’t even answer a simple question like directions to a store which was down the block and I don’t look like a KJ resident.

Where are all the usual hateful commenters “let them play by the rules like everybody else so they won’t get sued in court?” Oh wait, they are playing by the rules, and have been all along. Some people just don’t take no for an answer and are happy to litigate. Lesson learned: a lawsuit does not mean one is wrong, and you have an obligation to judge your fellow Yid favorably. Oh, I forgot, some people never learn…

Woodbury Commons is good income. Did u forget that every home pays tax, every family spends huge amounts of money in the local town.
