New York City mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner (L) speaks to reporters while standing with his wife Huma Abedin (R) during a press conference where he admitted to sending sexually explicit text messages in New York, New York, USA, 23 July 2013. Weiner resigned from the United States House of Representatives for similar behavior. The messages he discussed today were sent after he stepped down from office, but before he launched his mayoral campaign. EPA/ANDREW KELLYNew York – Anthony Weiner says he’s not dropping out of the New York City mayoral race in light of newly revealed explicit online correspondence with a young woman.

And his wife, Huma Abedin, is standing by him.

Weiner admitted on Tuesday to exchanging racy photos and having X-rated chats with a woman he met online. He had resigned his House seat in June 2011 after acknowledging having conversations with at least a half-dozen women.

The newly revealed correspondence was posted Monday by the gossip website The Dirty. The woman involved was not identified. She says their online relationship began in July 2012 and lasted for six months.

Abedin says Weiner “made some horrible mistakes,” but that she has forgiven him and believes in him.

He should. If not, no one in their right mind should vote for such a schlep.

He needs to just go away and keep his mouth shut. He is bringing shame to all of us Yidden. He should just go to a bar and start dating these shicksas and not put anything in writing for it to go all over the world.

If he is elected, who is to say he will stop these sexual escapades?

Why would anyone want him to drop out? if he drops out New Yorkers would hear about the issues. Until he drops out we will daily hear about the next childish thing Mr. Weiner did and how his wife learned well from her boss Hillary ” she’s standing with her man” The only one who looks more foolish than him is his wife!!

Weiner will probably get elected because people like to wake up in the morning with an exciting tabloid to read to go with their raisin bran and their coffee on their way to their dull job on a dull train to contend with their dull boss. Do you think that they like to read about the Detroit bankruptcy, or the latest civil war in a Moslem country, or about a chunk of ice the size of Chicago breaking off from the Antarctic shelf, when they can look at the picture of a hot chicky on the front page with a slit up her dress and high-heeled sandals, and the headline printing words with double-entendres, relating to a scandalized politician or a philandering actor or a baseball player that always seems to get to home base? Extra, extra, read the Daily Shmootz, and reach for a napkin to wipe up the slabber leaking from your jowl, before you get on the bus to Boredom City!

He’s a serial pervert. He carried on with his little fantasies after he resigned from Congress. He won’t stop, he’s addicted. What a sick man. Anyone who votes for him must have a real problem with integrity & moral values. Yeuch!

Huma Abedin would be a great candidate for mayor in a write-in campaign. She is so graceful under pressure, has a calm demeanor, and is not afraid to look the camera in the eye. .I would vote for her, but I’m worried that her husband wouldn’t know the first thing about changing a baby’s diaper.

What a loyal forgiving wife. I hope the voters are not as forgiving as she is.

We spend our lives learning and teaching that behavior should be ethical and correct. We shouldn’t embarrass ourselves or others; to go so far as to say that embarrassment is akin to murder. If we then, come out with endorsements or votes for this mise and it gets elected, our children have the perfect excuse to ignore everything we say and most certainly everything we do. If we, as a community, are so pandering and so gaivehdik that we have to be seen in the shadow of this abomination, on so many levels, then we have chosen the modern Molech over HKBH. We have chosen the flame and light of the medi-a-crity and the high narcissistic priests. Forget Heaven helping us, we’ve consciously abandoned Heaven by considering any of these parasitic, empty shells in suits for leadership. This is leadership. Rachmana litzlan.

If I were a reporter at today’s press conference, I would ask; “Mr. Weiner, do the citizens of New York City deserve a mayor with character”?

    payback time!!!!

And the scary part is that, he just might win the race, cause because everything is tanking… it just shows how low our generation is. starts from the top.

seems like the USA is doomed!!!

A leader who has no ability to control his urges, will have no ability to control his temptation for corruption.

If this menuval gets voted in, then the people who voted him in might as well just show him where the money to steal is. It’s bound to happen, and it will be their fault.

there is more heat than light in these comments as usual, so many of them lacking simple derech eretz and dealing kindly with fellow Jews. It’s quite a choice for NY, with 3 who left office in disgrace- Weiner, Spitzer and Paterson – and they all want the public trust back again. I don’t understand why New Yorkers can’t see through their political posturing, which in my humble opinion is overshadowed by their lewd, corrupt and lying behavior that should make any New Yorker look elsewhere to cast their vote.

There is a part of me that can accept that our leaders may not be perfect in their private lives, but as long as they do their jobs, and behave honorably and justly in public, they are acceptable.
But this guy is so far beyond that. There’s something sick about his need to live on the edge, texting with strangers, again,a year later, even after the public incident that drove him out.
He’s unstable and his judgment can’t be trusted. Who knows what risks he might take with the city, with the budget, etc.? He can’t live without the excitement.

Voters are a funny bunch…they just eat up news stories about candidates…whether it be good or bad news. Like him or hate him, don’t count Anthony Weiner out just yet. If nothing else he has succeeded in keeping himself in the news, and as bad as the news about him is….some people will still see him as a viable Mayor.

He lacks integrity. Not a man to be Mayor of this great city. On top of all that, he has chutzpah and arrogance and demeans us all by thinking we are stupid enough to vote for him if he panders to us. He was always a panderer. Same for Spitzer. Power hungry egotists who are dishonest.

The Rabbonim need to step in and issue an edit that anyone who votes for him will not be allowed to come to Shul.

If this is the stuff that’s coming out in July…I can’t wait to see the surprises that will surface the week before the election in September.

I used to feel sorry for Huma, but now I just think she’s an idiot.

Out of all the people in NY look what candidates we have. He is juvenile, without shame, and I do not see him as mayoral material. No way.
