New York – Orange County single-family home sales fell last year to the lowest level in a decade, according to data released today.

Sales dropped to the lowest level since 2001 in Sullivan County, and 2002 in Ulster, according to the counties' boards of Realtors, reflecting the deepening slump in the housing market.
The median sale price in each county rose slightly in each county compared to 2006.
2007 home sales by county:
* Orange County: 2,722, down 12.8 percent from 2006
* Sullivan County: 597, down 14.2 percent
* Ulster County: 1,374, down 6.6 percent
2007 median sale price by county:
*Orange County: $322,500, up 0.8 percent from 2006
*Sullivan County: $182,500, up 3.4 percent
*Ulster County: $252,175, up 1.3 percent. [Record]
