In the days before her death, Francesca had complained her gums were sore after using a newly repackaged Aquafresh toothpaste. Minutes before she died, she had brushed her teeth.

Her mother issued a warning for allergy sufferers and manufacturers to take more care.
Claire Dixon, Communications Director from GlaxoSmithKline UK which owns the AquaFresh brand spoke to VIN News. While their company is saddened by the death of the young lady, there are no results in the coroner’s report about the cause of her anaphylactic shock. AquaFresh has not changed it formula since 2001, although their packaging is different. They sell about 2 million tubes of Aquafresh Mild n Minty annually in United Kindgom, and receive maybe a handful of allergic reaction complaints. Never has there been a tragedy of this sort in the company’s history.
Ms. Dixon remarked that the girl had used AquaFresh brand for many years past without any problems.
