With the GOP nomination still up for grabs, according to political analysts the win in South Carolina could catapult one of the men vying to be the Republican nominee to the front of the pack, with little more than two weeks left before the Florida primary on Jan. 29 — where former Mayor Rudy Giuliani looks strong — and the multistate Super Tuesday votes Feb. 5.

Historically South Carolina State’s GOP primary is a kingmaker — no Republican presidential candidate has captured the White House without first winning the South Carolina primary since former President Reagan won the state’s primary in 1980.

The SC democraqtic primaries will be held Jan. 26 2008
