Brooklyn, NY – Office of Emergency Management (OEM) and the United Jewish Organization (UJO) of Williamsburg had a meeting with community leaders regarding large-scale disaster preparedness, in a bid to increase the community's ability to ensure greater security during times of disaster.

David Pollock of the Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC) of NY – actively involved in monitoring the safety of Jewish religious communities and religious sites – and Fred Kreizman, assistant commissioner of citywide outreach for the Mayor's Community Affairs Unit, encouraged all Williamsburg schools, as central organizing points, to be fully prepared with comprehensive emergency plans.
