The Florida Bankers Association, in cooperation with the FBI, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, the Florida Highway Patrol and Fraud-Net, announced a new program that strongly encourages patrons to remove hats, hoods and sunglasses when they enter Florida banks.
The program, dubbed “No Hats, No Hoods, No Sunglasses,” stops short of denying service to clients wearing the offending clothing or accessories. Bank personnel will direct those who refuse to remove hoods, hats or sunglasses to areas of the bank with more experienced tellers and heightened security.
According to a law enforcement official who told VIN News, that New York bankers associations, are in in talks with law enforcement and banks to facilitate in such idea in the near future for New York city.
A similar policy worked well in Missouri, where the policy was implemented in 2002, leading to a 33 percent drop in robberies. By 2005 robberies had dropped 47 percent from 2002.
this is already done in most banks in Maryland
“It aint gonna happen.”
Nor would my wife remove her headcovering for a search at an airline security checkpoint. She successfully demanded a private room with only female security personnel.
go tell an arab man or women to remove thier head garb .watch what happens. try telling an indian sikh to remove his head shmatta. . It aint gonna happen./
The policy can also be applied with a bit of sechel.
And before you know it they will not allow anyone with a brain to walk in the bank.
I can imagine that in certain areas of brooklyn, the whole bank will have to be the extra-secure area, if a large portion of the patrons are frum.
(I wonder if Liberty Pointe, etc will adhere to this policy?)
