    New York, NY – They're the city's biggest parking-ticket scofflaws – 10 New Yorkers and out-of-towners who have failed to pay more than 2,200 tickets and racked up more than $367,000 in unpaid fines.

    The worst offender is Christopher Wood of Floral Park, L.I. Wood has failed to pay 405 tickets. He owes taxpayers $62,000.
    Ranking second on the list is Israel Colon, a Newark man who had 278 unpaid summonses totaling more than $46,000.
    He's followed closely by two foreigners, Chaim Kauftial of Israel, who owes more than $39,000 on 225 unpaid tickets, and Zev Ponznanski of London, who has failed to pay 178 tickets for a combined $31,248.18.
    Following them is Robert Baum from Rockland County, who owns the city more than $30,000.00. [dailynews]

    My question is, How do these people get away with this? If I owe more than $150. they come to take away my car! How can they rack up a bill of over $30-40,000???? I really don’t understand.

    There is a Baum from Rockland County who has been nebach dead for at least 10 years. Could it be?
