New York – Barack Obama wooed Jewish voters and skeptical Israelis in interviews published Tuesday, voicing support for key Israeli demands in peace talks with the Palestinians.

Winning over Israel could help the Democratic presidential candidate gain favor with American Jews, who make up large voting blocs in key states like New York and Florida.

But he faces a difficult task. Israeli officials say privately they would prefer Obama’s main rival, Hillary Rodham Clinton, due to her experience and the backing her husband, Bill Clinton, gave Israel during his two terms as president in the 1990s. In contrast, Obama is relatively unknown here.

My father owns a sefer that’s 175 years old. It was given to his father when he was in Siberia.
It states that when Moshiach comes the president will be Clinton Shemo or Kennedy Shemo.

    I’m voting for Clinton.

so when clinton is president he is bad
and when bush is preasident olmert is bad

you people are so one sided its inane.

bush and rice have been worse for israel than clinton was and if any clinton dared to do or say anything that machsheyfa rice and mamzer bush have you would have lyunched them by now.

bushie and rice have sold israel up the river but you say itso lmerts fault when it is BUSH’S OWN ROAD MAP
when it was rabin and arafat’s oslo, you blamed clinton.
double standard blind bias is the most embarassing thing about our frum community. why are peopel so danr STUPID?

If our pinko commie jew hating government wants Shrillary Rotten Clinton and her hubby B.J. Bill the pitbull, if they want the odious form of bacteria that kissed Sewer Arafat after she made a speech how Israel is poisoning the water and chewing gum sent to gaza, then We have to support Obama

Obama has told the Palestinians thatif they want to make peace and get a state of thier own they need to start redefining the ‘right of return’ because the one they want will not happen.

    IOW, forget it!

Hillary has the same anti-Israel mentality as Olmert, Livni and the rest of the gangsters who are anxious to give away Jewish land to terroristsm, to impress the world. Is it any wonder that “Israel Officials” prefer this creep? Not that Obama is much better. But because he has no self-hating Jewish Liberal blood, he might be.

olmert has been pressured to give away land and stop settlements by traitors bush and his machsheyfa rice
lets not put the onus all on him

the call to scale back to 1967 borders is the first item in the dumbyas pathetic road map he forced on us.

I’d suggest the Israeli officials keep thier opinions to themselves. This is an American election, not an Israeli one.

The last thing we need in this country is c”v a pichon peh for people to say we Americans of the Jewish faith follow the marching orders of the Israeli gov’t and we elect presidents only based on what is good for Isreal.

Look, the Israeli govt and Al Keida agree on something. Glad neither can vote in the primaries.

All of a sudden now the israeli officials are telling who they feel would be good for the President of United States???
Let them first worry about their leaders who gave away GAZA and is ready to give away more and more of Israel C”V. and Billary and Osama oooops i am sorry Obama same thing they are both jew haters so Israel i think you should reconsider your opinions

thats because people are biased .
the frum community is schitzo and double standard that way.
when a democrat does something good for israel he must be an insincere panderer and when a republican does something good for israel it must mean they are a sincere friend.
nothing more nothing less on either side at any time and not acceptance of their equal support.
so naturally what clinton did was supposedly bad but when bush does the same exact thing (if not worse) he is infallible and its olmerts fault.

our community has been known for being honest with itself. all it cares about is photo ops in jewish newspapers.

I love how people bash Clinton and Bush for not supporting Isreal when neither tried to give away any more land than the Israeli gov’t was offering.

PEOPLE EDUCATE YOURSELVES, LOOK AT HILLARY’S RECORD OF ACCOMPLISHMENTS FOR ISRAEL and stop being blinded by the mindless rantings of limbauh hannity and savage.

I’m confused regarding the support Bill gave Israel. Was it the 50+ times Arafat was allowed to sleep over in the Lincoln bedroom. Was it the Camp David accords? Was it the slap in the face he felt when Ehud Barak gave away the state of Israel and Arafat said no, because the body count wouldn’t be high enough. Was it the number of times he visited? Was it the snub of Netanyahu? Damn, I can’t remember all of Bill’s support as President for the state of Israel. Must be because the state of Israel didn’t support itself when Bill was President.
Hillary’s support of Israel is like ice on a sub-zero day, worthless.
