Bay Ridge is the PARKING TICKET CAPITAL OF AMERICA. Bloomberg's agents are all over the place. And you know why?
Because the people of BR are working people who pay their tickets.

If you want to talk about anybody getting a free pass, try Boro Park (13th Ave., between 40th St. and 65th St.).
You can't move because the cars are not only double-parked, but triple-parked.
And you can't see the bus stops for all of the cars parked in them. But you never see a traffic agent. WHY? [John Mason at nydailynews]

    WOW

I think this is a first. Not a single comment supporting this Johnny boy!

Obviously there IS something wrong on 13th ave.

Of course somehow the machers had to be pulled into this. Certain Hatzolah/Shomrim rejects can’t get over the fact that they weren’t accepted. So every thread ends up with a comments or two about “plaques” “permits” “machers” and so forth.

    John Mason,

It’s about time you take your bigoted full-of-hassid hating head out of your rear end.

Not only is this utter hogwash, it’s so pathetic I wonder if you’ve ever been to 13th Ave.

As somebody else mentioned, I wish you’d come park your car on 13th Ave for a “free” day. The meter maids will shove you some orange until the non-existing Sheriff shows up with his make believe tow truck to pick up your Corvette.

Forget about parking tickets. I have bigger and more dangeous issue in Boro Park. RED LIGHTS. People ignore them, as if it was for information only.
Passing a red light is PIKUACH NEFESH. But the chutzpa today of our drivers (men AND women alike) is second to none. Of course the drivers don’t even notice they passed a red light, because they are talking on the cell phones.
Where is our Police Dep’t?? They should be catching these “murderers” and throwing the book at them.

Anon. 11:03 AM. …Because everyone has a permit, everyone is a macher!… A ZEESE CHULEM! Sweet dream/s. Wish it were so. But then again, we would look like the people in Chelm{no}. The classical story about the Chelemer Kehillah, where they decreed that each member must contribute a bottle of whiskey on a subsequent week, so they would have enough to party on Simchas Torah. Everyone thought to themselves; I’ll pour water into the barrel. Let the others contribute REAL whiskey. They all ended up drinking PURE WATER on Simchas Torah! (Sounds like a Jewish press story!)

I think they do not give out enough tickets in BP.

I always wish I was a traffic cop on erev shabbos and give out tickets to all the inconsiderate people who triple park and blow their horns. If only…..

I personally saw them waiting 10 minutes before the z’man on 13th avenue gathered together waiting for the bell to ring (or the music to go off) and they then proceeded to give tickets to every car parked at a meter, up and down 13th avenue and into the blocks a little bit.

Yidden, be careful on Erev Shabbos, now that Shabbos starts before 7pm (the time when meters expire).

WHY DOESNT ANY OF THE PUBKIC DO ANYTHING ABOUT THIS

BEcause every one has a permit, everyone’s a macher – so even when they give out tickets, no one be eligible to get one. Sounds good to me – let em blitz Bay Ridge.

    Yeah!!!

Many cars in BP got tickets after Licht Tzinden (4:30/5pm etc.) thinking that on Shabbos they don’t give tickets. Problem is, Friday until 7pm tickets are given out!

if this guy really believes what he is shoveling, then how about he puts his money where his mouth is…. I’d like to see him park his car on 13th in a bus stop or by a hydrant for 5-10 minutes and he should repeat this 5-10 times (remember – it’s a test) and then after he doesn’t get a single ticket he has proven himself correct…. NOT! – – – I am certain that by the time he’s finished this test 5-10 times, he’s gonna have 5-10 tickets (imaginary ones I’m certain) and then he can just ignore these non-existent tickets and then after a couple of months, non-existent Marshall’s with their non-existent fleet of tow trucks will tow his dreams and imagination to the pound and then he can feel good about the fact that BP is the last great “FREE PARKING” lot in the city of NY????? – I think not! – This guy is really thick and has his eyes and brain CLOSED! – I guess there’s a sign above his head that reads ” NO THINKING – ANYTIME”

You want to see a free pass? Look at Coney Island ave. bet Foster and Ave. H on Friday morning. The ENTIRE block -from corner to corner- is double parked. No tickets are given out. Why? Because from cars belong to Muslim’s who are praying in a Mosque on the block.

The place to live is bed-Stuy. During the 4-7 PM no Standing period there are an average of 3 cars per block. The enforcers blow their horns and wait a minute or two for thee driver to come running. This courtesy is only given in that neighborhood.

I don’t know which Boro Park he is talking about.I live near 13th ave. Agents are giving out tickets all the time around here. Just for the record I saw an agent walk up behind a double parked car and write a ticket as the driver, unaware pulled away. I personally got 2 unwarented tickets recently. one at 8:30 when meters started at 9am and one on Dec 25 at a no standing zone (at certain times)where you were allowed to park. Tickets are being given out here big time.

That’s a lie. Try parking on 13th Avenue for more than 4 or 5 minutes withouy being ticketed.
But I could double park anywhere at Century 21 on 86 Street.
