A two-car collision on the Palisades Interstate Parkway in Englewood Cliffs has backed up traffic for miles.

(CBS) ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS A terrifying crash on the Palisades Parkway in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey shut down the road for several hours.
The two mangled cars sat on the side of the Palisades Parkway until the evening commute was over. The devastating crash closed down the northbound lanes between exits 1 and 2 as investigators tried to determine what happened.
Despite how it looks, sources tell CBS 2 the two drivers and a baby survived.
Arsh Haq was shocked by the severity of the aftermath, and said, “I heard he or she survived or whoever, thank god. It looked really bad. I’ve never seen a car that crushed.”
The mother and her 11-month old were taken to Englewood Hospital and are listed in good condition. The driver of the other car was transported to Hackensack Hospital and was in serious condition.
Julian Lostel was in traffic as investigators cleaned up the accident scene and said, “It was unbelievable really amazing. I can’t believe somebody walked out of that car alive.”
Sources tell CBS 2 a motorcycle cut off one of the cars and that’s what caused the accident. But that motorcycle was nowhere to be found when police arrived at the scene.
parkway is closed norhtbound, but traffic also effecting southbound.
