Freehold, NJ – A Beachwood Couple Indicted In Theft Of Religious Center

    Freehold, NJ – A grand jury has returned charges against a Beachwood couple accused of embezzling more than $400,000 from the Jewish Community Center of Greater Monmouth County in Ocean Township to live a high-roller life, by buying chips at casinos in Atlantic City, where they enrolled in programs to earn complimentary rewards such as nights in hotel suites, and permitted the couple to purchase an over-sized lot on Beachwood Boulevard in Beachwood, where they built and financed a new home.
    Lisa and Christopher Gordon, of Beachwood Boulevard, Beachwood, have been named in a seven-count indictment that charges them with theft, conspiracy, money laundering and failing to pay taxes.
    The investigation focused on Lisa A. Gordon’s work as an accounts receivable manager at the Ruth Hyman Community Center of Greater Monmouth Country on Grant Avenue in Ocean Township.
