Remains Of First Body In Ghoul Probe, Exhumed In Queens

    Queens – The Brooklyn District Attorneys investigation into the body snatchers sale of human parts, led investigators to the Maple Grove Cemetery in Queens, where they exhumed their first body.
    Gravediggers working carefully took more than four hours to complete the painstaking task of digging up the remains of 82-year-old Esfir Perelmuter.
    Perelmuter, who lived in Flushing, Queens and died Feb. 4, 2003, was the first exhumation in the prob, involving hundreds of bodies craved up for huge profits in the transplant business by a ring of alleged body snatchers.

    Invesigators discovered that the body of the Queens grandmother was carved in half, with most of her bones missing below the waist and stuffed her clothing with plastic plumbing pipes.
