New York, NY – The former communications director for the Rev. Al Sharpton’s civil rights organization has been named the chief of staff to New York City’s first lady, Chirlane McCray.

Mayor Bill de Blasio and McCray named Rachel Noerdlinger to the position Monday.
Noerdlinger is president of Noerdlinger Media. She had served as executive vice president of communications for Sharpton’s National Action Network.
McCray says Noerdlinger “shares my commitment to bringing social justice to the forefront” of New York City.
De Blasio says she “has been a strong voice for this city’s underserved communities.”
The couple says Noerdlinger brings two decades of experience fighting for civil rights and better opportunities for low-income and minority groups.
Noerdlinger says she looks forward to working with McCray.
The mayor called his wife “my partner in everything I do.”
Anyone who is or was associated with the bigot race baiter and rabid anti semite sharpton should not be involved in nyc politics de blasio is beginning to show his true colors I wonder if the so called Jewish Power players will have the courage to stop this outrage now!!!!
As time goes on, I become increasingly uncomfortable with the make-up of the DeBlasio administration. There is increasingly a pattern of appointments that do not reflect concerns and struggles of our communities.
In addition, I don’t remember seeing DeBlasio’s wife on the ballot. She may need a Chief of Staff to coordinate her schedule, but this is a highly political person who is used to articulating policy and politics.
This Mayor in order to govern cannot antagonize the Jews of New York
Why am I not surprised? All of the vinnews liberals keep saying “give the guy a chance, it’s his first month for gosh sakes”. Ok, he had his chance. Now I can say it with impudence. He is the worst mayor since Dinkins! Go and shoot me for saying it.
She is a really accomplished PR person and highly respected among progressive organizations. The new mayor could care less about Sharpton’s poor judgement 20 years ago. He has embraced Sharpton as a legitimate leader of the civil rights community and yidden might as well get over it.
So far I have seen no tachlis from him, only talk (and usually too little, too late of that). This appointment, or that appointment… what in practice has he actually done? Only actual results will can prove anything, but it seems to me that he has no actual substance to him at all. For good or for worse.
Is de Blasio another Dinkins?
It appears that way.
Stop complaining. We are very lucky she did not ask Arafat widow to work.
Ahmedinijad is looking for a job. DeBlasio should name him as chairperson of the
Human Rights Commission.
What’s with Sharpton, epes he looks like a BOBBLEHEAD!
Reply to 15. That’s because he in fact is a bobblehead!
