Davos, Switzerland - Netanyahu Praises Israeli Innovation, Technology At Forum

Davos, Switzerland – Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu focused on and commended Israel’s growing technology and innovation at the World Economic Forum’s meeting held in Davos, Switzerland.

The Times of Israel (http://bit.ly/1dyzYXE) reports that the prime minister also discussed Israel’s agricultural knowledge, saying that, “every moo is computerized” on the country’s dairy farms.

A recent innovation index ranked Israel third. Switzerland and Canada were number one and two respectively.

Netanyahu discussed the reasons for Israel’s success in the tech world, saying the country has a need to create defense innovations, they have world-class research institutions, the Jewish culture of learning adds heavily to tech success, the country is small and the history of Israel, which required innovation for survival.

He also said that his country can provide assistance to European research by being, “your science and tech incubator.”

Netanyahu’s speech ended by requesting delegates to invest in Israel.
