One of them was Rabbi David Senter of Congregation Beth Shalom in Pompton Lakes. He praised Paterson-based Imam Mohammad Qatanani’s efforts to bring together people of different faiths.

Qatanani’s trial in federal court in Newark entered its second day on Friday.

He’s facing deportation for not disclosing a 1993 conviction in Israel on his U.S.
citizenship application. The Israeli military charged Qatanani with being a member of the militant Hamas organization.

Qatanani claims he wasn’t aware of the conviction and says he was subjected to
physical and mental abuse while in detention.

When a government starts going after Muslims, they will soon after oppress Jews. This we learn from our history (Spain and the European colonial occupations of the Arab lands).

It is correct for American Jews to defend the civil rights of ALL Americans because our civil rights and freedoms as non Christians in a Christian country are also on trial.

If an allieddemocratic country believes there is reason to consider this man a member of a murderous terrorist organization that should be sufficient reason to consider whether he is, and if he is, would that be a reason to deport?

Should anyone having contact with such a terrorist organization not be kicked out of the country due to the threat against this nation? Even if said person is an American-born peanut farmer?

Perhaps Israel would be willing to share whatever evidence it has against this man?

This terror supporter, may Hashem send him a refuas hanefesh, is a Conservative clergyman, and therefore if his brother really is the Chof K Senter, their relationship is like that of Esav to Yaakov.

If they are going to oppress Jews, well than that is their agenda- to in fact oppress Jews. The Xtian majority will Not say “we musn’t oppress these Jews because they stood up for Moslem rights” Idiots think that some how defending islamic militants in this country earns them some “brownie points” ? I don’t get it. If a Rabbi with a kosher certification organization is connected to defending this creep, I would treat food with his heckscher as out and out trefe.
