New York City – Governor Paterson yesterday praised the hundreds of protesters who were arrested on Wednesday for the manner in which they inconvenienced thousands of commuters by shutting down major city bridges and tunnels during rush hour.

“I must commend the advocates, the many of them, over 200 arrested for participating in civil disobedience in a way that made their point without any excess activity,” Mr. Paterson said moments after concluding a private meeting with the family of Sean Bell and the Reverend Al Sharpton. “The process of civil disobedience, by its definition, by its nature, inconveniences fellow residents … that is the art of civil disobedience

The governor’s praise came as Rev. Sharpton and other members of his National Action Network yesterday promised more protests in the coming weeks

While Mr. Paterson lauded the 200 protesters for the “completely professional” way they were arrested, he said that as governor he is not in a position to excuse their actions.

“No civil servant can condone civil disobedience because we represent all the people and we do not like to see any members of our society inconvenienced,” Mr. Paterson said. “Therefore, we would rather that this group have not gone to the extent that they did to demonstrate their issues.”

Here’s a quote from the Daily news a couple of days ago.

Paterson told the Daily News yesterday that he would not approve if the Rev. Al Sharpton, who organized the Diallo days of rage, follows through on his vow to “close this city down” with mass demonstrations in response to the Sean Bell verdict.”I certainly would not be in favor of that,” Paterson said of any shutdown – even if the protests are peaceful, as vowed. “People are trying to go to work. We’re trying to conduct commerce here.”

Praise goes too far just as by definition illegal activities are illegal… I would tolerate if he expressed understanding and that just like a parking ticket, one has to pay the price for incitement and actions of civil disobedience, and here it includes civil damages to those that were inconvenienced….

Some city and state workers even needed to put on their lights and sirens to get through at normal traffic rights given the extra traffic, forcing such honorable civil servants to shrink to such depths, acting so beneath their usual dignity, must be actionable… particularly if their bosses or the voters find out and they lose their jobs over it…

    Okay, bad example…

So let me get this straight, black guys throwing rocks which are capable of killing Jews who they perceive as white, that is expected behavior, and no crime; but a Jew fighting back after a stare-down, that needs a grand jury, and no plea bargain, particularly in a case where the boy is the son of a cop… since cops need to be held to a pedestal…

However shutting down the city when black cops shoot a black criminal, no grand jury, and governor’s PRAISE as the bafoon walks right out of jail? Great deterrence there!

There are no words which can be used to describe these morons. If Barack Hussein Osama is half as bad, this country won’t exist in 4 years. Praising lawbreakers?!?!?!?!
