    The woman in her 70’s was hit Wednesday afternoon, while crossing a street in Borough Park, section of Brooklyn, at the corner of 13th ave and 60’Street near Express Lumber, the woman got both of her legs crushed by the forklift.

    The operator was taken into custody after using the forklift like a vehicle and was driving the wrong way, which is a violation of traffic law.

    WCBS is reporting that the forklift is not associated with the lumber businesses on the block where the accident happened, but from another business around the corner.

    These contraptions should also be legally obligated to make noises and have flashing lights.
