Israel Hayom (http://bit.ly/1jDG2Yn) reports the 25-year-old woman picked up her three-year-old daughter from daycare and was physically and verbally attacked by the man while waiting at the bus stop. The man yelled at the woman, calling her a “whore” and telling her the skirt, “brought out the yetzer ha’ra (evil impulses).

The woman called the police on her cell phone and the man took her phone, pulled her hair and left bruises on her thigh and back.

She said she called for help, but no one stopped the assault.

The man turned himself into the police Thursday morning and gave the phone back. His lawyers currently have no comment.

The woman said his arrest is not comforting to her or her daughter, who is now in therapy.

Lock him up! Or maybe perhaps put him into a mental institution !

So beating a human being in public is better than her skirt length. What has this world come to? The rabbanim only focus on tznius and they forget the other parts of the Torah.

Pulling her hair was not a problem, ok

I feel so bad for this man. He has absolutely no control over himself. He’s capable of violence and he blames his victim for his actions. A person like this does not belong among normal human beings. For his own safety as well as the safety of others he should be caged like a vilde chaya and kept there medicated for the rest of his life.

When is this going to stop. I am sure that this clown is beating his wife on a regular basis. Give him some hard jail time.

I don’t know what the definition of “ultra-Orthodox” is. Can someone shed some light. On the other hand maybe he’s right. Oh, but how did he “notice” her skirt length? Ok, so he’s into fashion and checks out apparel… But the Legs. Why does an “ultra-Orthodox” man look where not suppose to and can bring out the Yetzer Hora… And finally -physically assaulted???? What’s wrong with this man? Or maybe animal?
I’m so embarrassed – I’m also what they would call an “ultra-Orthodox” man.

How disgusting. You don’t lay your hands on a woman, period. The fact that she called for help and nobody stopped to help her, is even worse.

He is the one who should be beaten for allowing his Yetzer Hora to get the better of him. It should be done in public as a warning to everyone else.
    Bring back Malkos Beis Din.

There are meshugoyim everywhere. The real problem begins when these meshugoyim feel empowered.

That nobody stopped to help her is ten times worse. Then they wonder why nobody wants to live near Haredim.

Doesn’t this guy know that women dress shelo kedin all the time, rachmana litzlan? (Not that it’s clear from this article that this woman was dressed against halacha anyway). If he went to NYC, and saw millions of women dressed improperly, would he start to beat them all up?

Mr. AlterG what do you have to say about this incident? You always have wise observations.

Scumbag justice by a scumbag with only his teeth as an asset. This is just the problem that our society is fostering. We must fight for freedom and origins of human intention instead of trying to destroy the entire system of the plague that bothers our values and liberty. If you hurt someone with violence, your retribution will be even more violent. How do you think you can give someone a message of inadequacy when you yourself are worse in their eyes. If we are to continue to develop the Torah Value in the public sphere, we can never be an accessory to harm against the freedom of the individual and the place of eternal justice.

A step backwards for tznuis. A step against the grade for the harm of promiscuity.

    Never Again.

A few weeks ago a major chasidic rebbe in Brooklyn held an Asifa for men where he told them that the reason the Jewish world is suffering from cancer and other tragedies is because of women’s lack of tznius!!!!. These primitive kinds of messages which rabbis and rebbes feed their congregants feed men’s feelings of superiority, mysoginy (hatred of women) and encourages them to denigrate and abuse women. They teach them to see women as sex objects who must be put down because they arouse men’s lust. I would like to suggest a few major Asifas where the rabbis and rebbes discuss the spiritual and moral failings of the men in their communities (if they can find any, because as we know, the men are all so perfect and holy) .

The issue is that crazies used to wear their talus backwards and generally make a fool out of themselves today their beating up rabbis, women and etc. this is a greater societal issue and not a religious issue.

Women will start arming themselves and sooner rather than later one of these perverts will be very sorry.

unfortunately this happens all the time, but in different ways. when all you foolish guys went to that demonstration a few weeks back, what did the world think? what did the media think? They thought we were nuts, protesting on not joining the army? not fighting when you have enemies killing you on all sides? and that was thousands of people making a huge chillul hashem ( of course in the name of torah!) did anyone stop and think: what in the world am I doing here? am I just following the olim blindly? seriously, its about time people wake up and see that whenever there is a protest, the people who are protesting are the ones with the issues. as you can see by nechemia weberman, that he was on the so called “vaad hatznius” and he himself was molesting this girl for years.

I truly do not understand this. I thought Israeli women (and men) were armed. Try this sort of foolishness in (say) Texas, and you would end up dead.

Give us his name, address, & I will have dozens of Chareidi, MO, Chassidic, & not frum women standing together & protesting this piece of garbage outside his home. And his wife is probably a victim of abuse as well.

This happened Wednesday. The mayor and askanim had three days to say something. Anything.

I’m ashamed to say I live here.

until the “mainstream” gedolim don’t come out and say this is unacceptable this will continue and get worse. continuing a rift between the ultra (which as this article demonstrates is clearly a misnomer) orthodox and normal orthodoxy. Agreat way to hasten mosheach’s arrival!

So… Touching a woman is ok if it’s to reprimand her for her clothes?

To #16 - The use of certain phraseology by you, on this site is entirely inappropriate. Whereas it may be suitable in a bar, or at the office, it is not suited for this site. You should clean up your act, before using such words, which will be published. How can we expect children to be respectful to each other, and not use such language, when they witness adults doing so?
