A survey by Quinnipiac (KWIN’-ih-pee-ak) University released Wednesday said that 51 percent approve of the mayor while 28 percent do not.

His marks have improved from Quinnipiac’s last survey in mid-March. Then, 45 percent of New Yorkers approved of de Blasio while 34 did not.

Meanwhile, 66 percent of those polled believe de Blasio should not follow through on his plan to ban horse-drawn carriages.

Only 39 percent think ferrets should be permitted as pets. The de Blasio administration is considering dropping the current ban on allowing ferrets in city homes.

The survey of 1,033 city voters had a margin of error of 3.1 percentage points.
